Sticky Asian Inspired Tofu

Do you get a little sick of eating meat? I can from time to time so this is my go too. SERVES 2.

INGREDIENTS

- 450g firm tofu, from Woolies is the best

- 3tbs tamari sauce

- 1tsp garlic, minced

- 1tsp ginger

- 1cup GF flour

- 1tbs honey

- Pepper & salt

- 1tsp sesame seeds

- 1tbs Chilli jam/sauce

- Fresh spring onion, sliced

- Green beans

METHOD

  1. In a large mixing bowl place the flour and pepper and salt

  2. Cut the tofu up into cubes and coat them generously in the flour

  3. Make the sauce in a small bowl. Add the tamari, chilli jam, ginger and garlic

  4. On medium heat, in a lightly oiled fry pan cook the tofu on both sides. Turn with tongs to be sure it is cooked well

  5. Once a little browned on the second side pour the sauce over the top, move around the pan and than drizzle the honey over and take out of the pan immediatley

  6. Steam the beans and chop the spring onion for the top

  7. Sprinkle over the sesame seeds

*Less worrying about numbers and more focus on enjoyment

* This dish is a great way to still get protein in and have a rest from meat. Made me really happy as the flavours are next level. Don't dis tofu until you try this recipe.
