Roast Chicken and crispy Bacon & Sage

Spice up your Sunday night roasts with this favoursome recipe. SERVES 5.


INGREDIENTS

- 1 whole chicken

- 2tbs dijon mustard

- 1tb olive oil

- 1tbs maple syrup

- fresh sage

- 5-6 strips of bacon

- 1tsp garlic, minced


METHOD

  1. Pat down the chicken with paper towel so it will crisp up nicely in the oven

  2. Cut the chicken right down the middle with a large knife

  3. In a small bowl mix together the mustard, oil, garlic and maple

  4. Brush the chicken with the mix and then lay the bacon over the top, add the sage leaves just under the bacon

  5. Cook for a good 50-60mins

  6. Easy and so tasty. The sage and the bacon really make it.
