HONEY SPICED CHICKPEAS

A great salad topper for those summer days or a snack for social occasions.


INGREDIENTS

1 can of chickpeas, 400g

1tbs honey

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp suman

1tbs olive oil

pepper & salt


METHOD

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 180 fan forced

  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas in a strainer and pat dry with a tea towel

  3. Spread the chickpeas on a lined baking tray and sprinkle with above spices, olive oil and honey

  4. With your hands spread the chickpeas and the olive oil mix around the tray until all the chickpeas are coated well

  5. Roast for 20mins and keep an eye on them until they become a nice, crispy finish

  6. Pronto! A delightful snack or salad topper.
